HuyTex™ is a
family of APC fiberglass felts that have been laminated with ePTFE
membranes for use in a variety of cartridge and pulsejet filter
bag applications. HuyTex™
offers the efficiency and cleanability of a membrane laminated
media backed up by a high efficiency felt that will prevent
particulate bleed-through in the likely event of membrane
installation damage or delamination. Conventional membrane
fabrics on woven glass substrates will allow particulate leakage
to occur much more readily in damaged areas of the membrane
than a HuyTex™ media
will.
HuyTex™ is typically
used in demanding applications such as titanium dioxide collection
or when emissions must be the absolute minimum possible. These
fabrics can be used at operating temperatures of 500 F (260 C) or
less.
